Short and plain

We collect as little as we can. Here is all of it.

What we count

We use GoatCounter to count visits: which pages are opened, whether a practice was started and finished, and which buttons were tapped on the Practice Library page (for example "I'd rather pay once"). It uses no cookies and doesn't keep your name, your email or your IP address. Like most counters, it also sees general things such as the browser, the country and the page you came from. We look at totals, like "40 people finished this practice".

What we keep, if you give it to us

If you leave your email, it's kept by Buttondown, the service that sends our emails. We use it only to send you news from Walk Me Through It: new practices, tips, and when the Practice Library opens. We never sell it, and we don't share it with anyone except the services that help us run the site, like Buttondown itself.

The services behind the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. The practice pages load their fonts from Google Fonts and a small animation library from jsDelivr. Like any website, these services receive the basic information your browser sends when it asks for a file (such as your IP address), under their own privacy policies.

What stays on your device

The practice keeps a small log of how it went (for example, "finished with help") in your own browser, so a family member helping you can see it. It is never sent to us. The Practice Library page also remembers, in your browser, which price it showed you, so it doesn't change every visit. Clearing your browser's data deletes both.

The phones and apps

Everything in the practices is pretend. Nothing you type in a practice is sent anywhere, and nothing touches your real phone, accounts or money. We only count, anonymously, that a practice was started and finished.
